The apple didn't fall far from the tree

When Hannah Giles, the woman who pretended to be a prostitute in order "prove" ACORN is a "thug organization," was asked by Beck why she did it she acted as if she just saw ACORN on tv or something and her instincts told her it was rotten. "[O]ne day I was jogging after work and I saw an ACORN, um, I was like, hmm, you know, I’ve never seen them before, I don’t like them," she told Beck.

But given that she is a second generation movement conservative - her father is a Townhall.com columnist, Christian nationalist and all around "liberal" basher - the notion that she just independently came to decide ACORN is corrupt is lacking in all credibility. Her hatred of ACORN is more likely a product of the sociology of her conservative movement cultural immersion; of being a part of its hive mind.

But of course, one need not speculate. Giles had already written a 3 part series (1, 2, 3) several years ago explaining that he raised daughters "that pimps and thugs will hate." And it's hard to believe that homeschooled Hannah didn't have any of papa's somewhat kooky views rub off on her. Here is the video which is featured on the frontpage of Doug's website.

"Let the thugs slime in," the song chants.

Right. I'm sure the notion that ACORN is a "thug organization" just popped into her head after a jog.
