More scribbled madness

I previously wrote

The rub is seeing Beck - in what has become pretty much a daily occurrence - standing at a chalkboard/markerboard in front of some scribbled madness, pontificating as if he's some sort of professor lecturing an auditorium of students (as opposed to his audience members who are invited at the start of each episode to "follow me.") I can't help but recall Richard Hofstadter writing, "The enemy may be the cosmopolitan intellectual, but the paranoid will outdo him in the apparatus of scholarship, even of pedantry."
And provided this as an example of Beck's "scribbled madness."

I see that I'm not the only one who is noticing this ... Media Matters provides the video below with the heading "Glenn Beck scrawls wild conspiracy theories on a chalk board"

Ha! Ha! Ha! This is so funny! They are no longer "radicals"! They went mainstream a long time ago.

The irony is Beck has had Horowitz on his show, and Horowitz is a radical from that same generation as Jeff Jones and Ayers. So why not denounce him?

Jeff Jones simply mainstreamed into being a liberal, while Horowitz went over to being a far-right nut.

Beck thinks he's onto something just because he has found some tangential connection between a FORMER radical and an advisor to the White House. BFD!

But whats even more pathetic about Beck's rantings is that it is totally ignorant of the way Marxists and socialists actually would try to initiate social change.

Lets just hypotheticall say that a "Marxist" influenced candidate was actually elected POTUS. That person certainly would have done things radically different from what Obama has actually done. He would have been stomping hard for the EFCA, would have actually nationalized the banks, would come out clearly fighting for a single-payer system instead of this bullshit Obama is tying to do with health care.

Really, its an insult to communists, socialists, and Marxists.

Oh wait! Something has just dawned on me.

The Soviet Union got bogged down in a war in Afghanistan and lost their tails, and they were supposedly "communists".

Obama is now getting bogged down in a war in Afghanistan, and America is going to lose their tails there.
Obama is pursuing the exact same communist strategy in Afghanistan.
Coincidence? Maybe Beck is onto something?
