You know, I couldn't care less about what Ted Nugent said (about wanting to kill some prominent Democrats.) I don't take him seriously and think he has a right to be a lunatic and a moron, and even a hypocrite for having previously said that someone who says on the internet that Rush Limbaugh should be shot should be investigated. But everyone who isn't a brain-dead zombie knows that were any "liberal" to say the exact same things about any "conservative" or Republican Sean Hannity would be leading the outrage brigade along with Michelle Malkin and O'Reilly and all the rest while saying how uncivil and unhinged "liberals" are.
Fox News, were it actually a news network, would be embarassed to have such a pathetic minded individual on their pay roll. Yet it is not. In point of fact, this is what it pays Hannity to do.
Sean Hannity is a bigot. The first thing he says to Bob Beckel is "... I see you liberals." That's telling. Hannity doesn't see Bob Beckel, individual. He sees "you liberals".
And as we know, Hannity believes "liberals" are Evil that the United States needs to be delivered from. Which might go a ways towards explaining why he thinks joking about shooting Hillary Clinton with a machine gun is so funny.

Watching how Hannity framed his "questions" to defend Nugent is really stunning. I think that Beckel actually did a very good job given how Hannity runs the show.
What is interesting is that Hannity uses this technique of forcing people to denounce statements of others (both individuals and groups) all the time. It was interesting to see how when put in that situation HE responded (he changed the subject to "John Kerry said..."). It was a lame gambit but he shouted over the other guy and changed the subject because he was is the boss who controls the show.
I do wonder about Hannity's faith. Which religion does he belong to that feels it is okay with supporting Nugent's comments?
Good God, more outraged, name calling Blue Bawls. Nugent is a rock singer! What in heavens name did you expect?
No matter how many times I see someone read a post and then offer a response that demonstrates a near complete inability to comprehend the point of the post it still ceases to amaze me.
In this case, given that I answer that question in the very first sentence that I wrote its particularly impressive that Cerebus was unable to get it.
Yet, here's a clue:
Imagine what Hannity's reaction would be if Rosie O'Donnell joked that Giuliani should be killed with a machine gun.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that "she's just a comedian, what else would you expect" wouldn't be a satisfactory answer for Hannity.
