"As the vice regents of God, we are to exercise godly dominion and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our news media, our scientific endeavors -- in short, over every aspect and institution of human society."
And the political influence of these people is growing.

These people do not value democracy, nor do they value freedom of thought.Under their rule any belief other than theirs will be marginalized or worse. Unless you think living in Cromwell's England was a good thing having these people exert influence over American politics is not something to be happy about.
Perhaps some editing would help illustrate the problem.

I'm not at all pleased with the threat of dominion being exercised over every aspect of my life at whatever the cost.
Yes, disturbing. It doesn't help that another "Dominionist" recently made reference to a Stalin quote about killing political enemies when speaking on the judiciary, either.
The man was Edwin Viera. He's a lawyer -- and he's won three of the four cases he's argued before the Supreme Court? Geeze, they can't be that bad, then.

From socialism to total anarchy, our governmental balance will always reside somewhere close to center. History proves that any extreme can easily jump to the other side by the will of the people trying to escape the one extreme - no ideology will dominate the polital arena for an extended period of time. We should not worry about "the threat of American fundamentalism" because 900 evangelicals got together for a tea party. American fundamentalism is no more of a threat than Iceland declaring war on America.
I'll leave this comment since it has some substance to it, but the rest of the hecklers I'm going to delete. This would have been funnier if your i.p.'s and what not did not show up on my stat tracker.
