John McCain thinks (or is willing to say) that the U.S. Constition established a theocracy

It's just sad. Sad that the Republican Party has been taken over by the pseudo-conservative Christian right which engages in ruthless proto-totalitarian reality revision in order to lay the ideological groundwork for the sectarian America they wish to create.

My favorite part of the footage is McCain saying the phrase "in God we trust" is evidence that the Constitution is founded on "Christian principles." Uh, Mr. McCain, that phrase didn't appear on coins until the Civil War and didn't become a national motto until 1956.
